St. Paul's offers Sunday School beginning at 9:30 with Prayer in the Parrish Hall.
Sunday School for our children is a unique experience. We believe that all members of our church have
something to offer our children from the oldest to the youngest member. At different times, each member
of our church will be called on to "teach" a lesson for a Sunday or a series of Sundays. Themes in Sunday
School accompany the church holidays the idea being to help our children identify Christian ideas and
teachings in their everyday life. A unique bond, that is sometimes difficult to form in a more traditional
church setting, forms between the adults and children that last well after the lesson.
Our youth and young adults participate in a Rite 13 and J2A (Journey to Adulthood). Growing up with
peers in the church allows for strong friendships. The various missions and activities provide opportunities
to be active in the church and the community. The Rite 13 / J2A culminate in joining the church.
Our Adult Sunday School Class meets in the Guild Room and is led by the Rector. This time allows
for discussion on the previous Sunday's sermon and lessons.
Our Nursery is available for infants through toddlers during Sunday School and 10:30 service. We have
two full time attendants offering a safe and secure setting.
The Choir is a multi-generational group that leads the singing of hymns and other service music and
presents an offertory anthem at the 10:30 service. They present a variety of music, from traditional to
contemporary. The choir's season is from September through June, with rehearsals on Thursday evenings
from 7:00-8:30. All are welcome, the only requirement is a willingness to share your talents.
Saint Paul's Ringing Ensemble is an ecumenical handbell choir that rings at the 10:30 service on the
third Sunday of the month from September through June. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings from
7:00-8:00. The ability to read music is helpful, but not required. There is room for more ringers!
During July and August, vocal and instrumental soloists and small groups are encouraged to provide the
offertory anthem. If you are interested in participating in the music ministry at Saint Paul's, please contact
Al and he will gladly answer any questions you might have.
Laying-on-of-Hands is offered at both services most Sundays except during the summer. The lay
healing minister is available at the kneeling bench at the right front side of the nave during Communion.
Everyone is welcome to use this healing rite as an opportunity to allow someone to pray for/with you or
for someone else on your behalf. Nothing is too small or too large to be prayed about and may include
requests for physical, emotional, mental or spiritual healing; prayers of praise and thanksgiving; and
requests for blessings from God. The healing rite is administered during communion by a lay healing
minister from the bench next to the pulpit.
Children's Chapel allows our youngest members to begin worship at the 10:30 service with their
parent(s), but to leave for an age-appropriate experience prior to the sermon. The children rejoin the
10:30 service after the Peace and are welcome to receive communion if they are baptized
